1. Keep Your Content Fresh And Unique
This sounds obvious, but a lot of people set up a blog and only post occasionally. A good rule of thumb is to post 3 entries of at least 250 words to your blog a week. This keeps the search engine crawlers visiting your site. If you do this for at least 3 months, you'll notice a more consistent ranking. However, don't bother using duplicate content. Make sure the content that you write is unique and fresh. Google wants to rank sites which contain brands new content, so follow this simple guideline to get traffic to your blog.
2. Optimize Your Posts For The Search Engines
Listen, you don't need to be a web search engine optimization expert to practice good SEO. However, you need to understand the importance of Latent Semantic Indexing. You need to incorporate Latent Semantic Indexing into your blog. Don't be put off by this convoluted term. Basically, Google now scans websites based on keyword phrases related to the main keyword phrase. These include synonyms, plurals and general related terms, rather than the frequency of keyword phrase. I hope I've explained that okay. To give you an example, if I had a blog on the subject of bodybuilding, I would incorporate related terms to bodybuilding such as, Creatine, six packs abs, bench press. You get the picture. This a great way to get instant free blog traffic.
3. Build Backlinks To Your Blog By Outsourcing
Link building is very important. The more links you have which link back to your site, the better the chance you'll get a high ranking. You can do this yourself, or you can outsource it. I would suggest you outsource it as is it can be pretty tedious. Believe it or not, you can get link building done for you at a very cheap price if you know where to look. Plus, if you have someone building links back to your site, its like having traffic increased while you focus on the other 2 steps.
Do this to increase traffic to your blog.
